Amir Kelly's "Love Galore" Cover Captures Passionate Sentiment

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HHIuO1Rr68Amir Kelly is an LA-based contemporary R&B artist meshing potent 90’s soulful R&B vocals with current hip hop influences. After overcoming Stage 3 cancer at 18, he's consistently pursued music both in and out of the classroom: studying popular music at USC while developing a music career as a songwriter and performer. For Kelly, music is a platform for reflection, revelation and inspiration where artistry is larger-than-life.SZA's bouts with handling modern love on CTRL reminisced Amir's own struggle with life-altering illness and its complexities.

The intention behind this video was to let these emotions resonate in a vulnerable manner, highlighting the Black female experience, as portrayed by the two dancers.

For the "Love Galore" cover, he collaborated with fifteen USC students and LA creatives to depict love's ups and downs with passionate sentiment. His monochrome visual taps into concepts of vulnerable uneasiness in times of darkness. Throughout, two dancers swiftly accentuate gripping emotions, as Kelly vigorously belts lyrics in empty spaces.  In the end, double exposures brilliantly showcase the struggle of confronting nuanced emotions.Amir's cover of "Love Galore" is quite captivating and engaging.
