Beach Goth V After Party: Majid Jordan Travels to King City

Majid Jordan were part of Beach Goth's After Party 2016. Beach Goth is an annual festival put on by The Observatory Santa Ana and Surf-Pyschedelic Rock band The Growlers. Some additional after show acts included Kali Uchis, Hippie Sabotage and Lil Peep. They offered a locked presale option with a free download or physical copy of their self-titled project. Tickets sold like wildfire when they were made public. But when it comes to festival after-parties, show up early in line and do not expect to park on site. Cars piled up with individuals exiting and entering, disrupting oncoming traffic due to venue parking being blocked off. Many of us assumed that the Observatory would have another entrance for Majid and the other shows. However, we were all clumped up and rounding around the venue.Attendees waiting in line heard sets by Future Islands, The Growlers, Nicolas Jaar, RL Grimes, Sebastian and Froth.DJ TJ opened up for Majid around 11:30, playing Drake, PartyNextDoor and some Dancehall. By 12:30, Majid Jordan came on stage. Fog and flickering LED Light Bars created an intimate bond between the duo and their fans.Throughout the night we sang collectively to their compilation setlist featuring "Learn From Each Other", "Shake Shake Shake", "Pacifico", "King City", "Day & Night", "Her", "Something About You", "My Love" and more.We also got to say Happy Birthday to Majid which made the show feel more personal. Their show was definitely a dance party full of good vibes.
