Jacquees' "MOOD" Tour Brings New Waves
I love artists whose music videos have a 2000's R&B feel to them. He's one of those few that constantly keeps this a theme.Jacquees is a 22-year-old R&B singer-songwriter from Decatuar, GA, who fell on my radar after his 2014 19 mixtape. His Mood project turned me into a fan with almost every song.To follow Mood's success, the Rich Gang - Cash Money affiliate embarked on his first headlining 28-city national tour. It began in Norfolk, VA at the end of April & ends tonight in Atlanta, GA.An important fact regarding concerts: know some facts about the headliner. You just might have the chance to win some money.. yes, maybe even $100 dollars. This show had a whole lot of openers. As always, The Observatory remained a tough crowd to impress. Mostly because we were over the DJ, over standing and just wanted to get the experience we paid for. Aside from local performers, some RG artists took the floor too.The crowd definitely did not receive Found Vegas well at all. Most thought that it was weird to see a rock band open for an R&B artist. But they were an alternative hip-hop group. As they decided to cover "Trap Queen" & "One Dance" fans continued to mentally check out of their performance.Soon after, Zeus the Plug & FYB re-energized the crowd. We didn't expect a little artist pop quiz in between Zeus' set. He decided to do a little $100 giveaway if you knew facts about Jacquees. I could've won if he called on me.. but most fans got his questions wrong.Around 11ish, Jacquees gave us an hour of his Mood experience. He performed a compilation of Mood, 19 and Quemix 1 & 2. He's not one of those R&B artists to just stand and sing.. Quees gives you the vocals and choreographed performance. One lucky fan received a lap dance. All in all, it was a nice show.By the end of the night, a meet & greet was offered, but I didn't bring money. I want to see him again.
