Most people are familiar with Nigerian music for its catchy and vibrant Afrobeats scene where you hear the likes of Olamide, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking and more. However, the Afro-trap scene is more prevalent in London but it is also gaining traction within Nigeria.

Hailing from Lasgidi, Six Fo is a Lagos-based rapper on a mission to showcase a sharpened sound as an emerging African artist. He remains to be inspired by Jay-Z, Drake, J. Cole, Future, and Wizkid.

"Lalèyì" is a Yoruba term which translates into tonight or this night. Horns quickly capture attention before the snare begins to bite your ears. Six sets himself up as if he's already in your head. His flow is aggressive, capturing tense emotions while being critical of his surroundings and fast lifestyle.

My one criticism is that there's room for improvement with cadence and lyrical structuring to maintain listeners' attention. But on the flipside, the production builds strong anticipation.
