When Tinashe Took Me On A Joyride
Tinashe will take you on the ride of your life. She really isn't playing with this album or tour. One thing needs to be known about me: I am a HUGE Tinashe fan.I've been following her since the beginning with In Case We Die. But every time she's had a show, something came up. So when I found out about the Joyride World Tour, any money would be dropped to see her as VIP (because why wouldn't someone want to meet her).As expected, I chose VIP in a heartbeat. The meet and greet anxiety hit me harder than I thought. She slays so hard in person and I got to meet Momma Kachingwe. It was wild. But the rest of the night would be a life-changing experience.By 11, LA native singer/songwriter Blackbear took the stage. At first glance, he reminded me a bit of G-Eazy. There were similar aesthetics -- a black leather jacket, body build and slicked back hair. The only difference being his tattoo sleeves. He swayed part of the crowd with R&B melodies, including "90210", "I Need You" and "Dirty Laundry".Life finally hit me at midnight. I was in for the best hour of my life. Let me tell you, that choreography was A1. The running background visuals added depth to her performance. She sounds way better in person. A few others and I were gassing the dancers. Her set covered a bit of everything, while also giving "Joyride" exclusives. What an experience. Sensational. Joyride is about to be fire.
