Those three words are the sound of first generation Russian-American producer Seva aka Sov. His fourth project might appear to look like an 18-minute gapless track above. But it's really five tracks. This follows his self-titled album from last February. Sov was born in Moscow, raised in Oakland and is currently attending college in Seattle. He's also 1/7 of Cassette Culture, a producer collective.
The concept is the journey of love, starting with the first kiss and ending with, well, the end if the relationship. Even though its an instrumental EP, there are some other themes sprinkled throughoutSov, describing Daydream
Listeners vividly embark onto his journey "Serbia / Birth", a collaboration with Raava, where they rework Future's "F*ck Up Some Commas" into a futuristic gem. "Elated" has a serene sets the mood but manages to still go heavy on a '05 classic. Sov's "Hesitation" featuring K.A.A.N smoothly transitions with jazzier pizazz. It is the project's profound turning point. "Almost Blue / Interlude" embodies hopeful sadness via serenading saxophones and mellow vocals. "Stay" encloses the work on a melancholy note.A striking imaginative and ingenious Ambient-Trap project, Daydream really takes you on a emotional rollercoaster. His project and other discography are available for purchase through Bandcamp.
